What you can expect:

A comprehensive assessment will take place lasting about an hour.  A complete medical history is taken alongside the history of your present medical problem.  This will then be followed by a clinical examination to determine the nature of the problem.  A comprehensive individually tailored treatment plan with be agreed between you and your physiotherapist, with the aim of addressing your problem as quickly and as safely as possible.

Alternatively your physiotherapist may have to discuss the possibility of further investigations or specialist opinion. 

What will be expected of me?

• To wear loose fitting clothing and if you have a hip, knee or ankle problem wearing shorts would be advised.
• Please keep your appointments.
• Please turn up on time for your appointment.
• Please allow time to complete your exercise programme.  This will ensure that you get the best out of your physiotherapy treatment.

Your first visit:

To arrange your first appointment you can contact us directly there is no need to be referred to us by your GP.  However if you intend to use your private medical insurance a recommendation or referral may be required from your GP or consultant.  Please contact your insurance company for details.

You also may be refereed to us through your solicitor, insurance company or sports club.  Throughout this process, if there is a necessity we will keep in close contact with you GP.
